About Us

Meet Your Guide

Richard has over 17 years of hunting and trapping experience. He grew up on a family farm where he developed his love for nature and the outdoors. He’s been guiding since the age of 18 and enjoys sharing his knowledge to help visiting hunters experience the best of one of Canada’s top hunting regions.

Who We Are

Corbett Creek Outfitters is a family owned and operated business that is run by Richard Ellens and his wife Stefanie Ellens. As a Christian family with two young boys, we love and respect the outdoors as stewards of the land through sustainable and ethical harvests.  We hope to have you join us in our exciting adventure as we aspire to bring world class hunting experiences to our guests visiting Northern Alberta.

Our Request From You

Remember to ask any and all questions that you have before booking your hunting trip. We want you to know exactly what you’re booking so you have the best possible experience when you arrive. Even though we are confident that we will fulfill your dream hunt, this is not always the case if your expectations aren’t clearly communicated.

If you select us for your hunt please remember that we may have other hunters visiting as well. Please be polite and courteous with other guests as well as the guides and cook. This is a tipping industry, please remember to tip staff accordingly.

Corbett Creek is a family-owned business, while keeping our efforts professional we do hope to involve the family where possible. We appreciate guests being respectful if kids are present. Meals will be served around the dinner table together and will begin with grace.

This is your trip, please communicate along the way if you have any concerns or if there’s anything we can do to improve your stay with us. Openness is key for everyone to have a fun and successful hunt. Though alcohol is tolerated, please keep it in moderation. Smoking cigars or cigarettes is permitted outdoors, we don’t allow marijuana or any other substances.
